PRODUCTION / I DILETTANTI   

We worked with the countertenor Xavier Sabata on the creative direction for the project I Dilettanti (2014).

Xavier had a clear and personal approach to his project, and he asked us to help him in materializing his ideas. The project is related to his family and the work of the dilettantis. For that reason, we decided to use a black and white, medium format film. We also recorded all the interviews for the EPK on location. The shooting and photo-shoot for the cover album, the libretto and the EPK, took place  in his hometown, Avià (Catalunya- Spain) with the presence of the baroque music ensemble Latinitas Nostra.

dilettante [dilet‘tante]: person who enjoys the arts or someone who engages in a field as out of casual interest rather than as a profession.
